During the 1970s, he primarily served as an interview reporter and commentator, especially in motorsport. He later became the host of Sportnytt and Sportspegeln. Together with colleagues, he developed Lilla Sportspegeln, which became highly successful in the mid-1980s. Andersson stepped back in the late 1980s to focus on production and served as editorial chief until his retirement in 2016.
