Klaus Peter Stähler is a German classical archaeologist born on February 15, 1939, in Dortmund. He studied classical archaeology, philology, and art history, obtaining his doctorate in 1963. Stähler served as a curator and later became a professor at the University of Münster. He led various archaeological projects and explored Greek vase painting and ancient sculptures. In addition, he has been an editor for academic journals and participated in international research and excavations. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Münster Academy of Fine Arts in 2001.
