Robert Christian Hansen, known in the media as 'The Butcher Baker,' was an American serial killer active between 1971 and 1983. He kidnapped, raped, and murdered at least 17 women in Anchorage and its surroundings in Alaska. Hansen hunted many of his victims in the wilderness, using a Ruger Mini-14 rifle and a knife. He was arrested and convicted in 1983, receiving a sentence of 461 years plus life in prison without the possibility of parole.
