Knud Erik Christensen (born April 3, 1925, in Hirtshals) is one of the last living resistance fighters from World War II. He was arrested by the Gestapo in October 1944, tortured, and deported to concentration camps, including Dachau and Neuengamme. He played a vital role in the Danish resistance, engaging in railway sabotage, weapon drops, and editing the illegal newspaper 'Budstikken'. After the war, he worked as a mine clearance inspector and became a business owner in Hirtshals. He is still living in Hirtshals today.
