He served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army from 1973 until 1975 and also held the position of Supreme Commander of the Thai Armed Forces from 1974 to 1975. Srivara played a significant role in the popular uprising in October 1973, contributing to major political changes in Thailand during that period. He passed away on April 28, 1976, in Bangkok.
