Kunihiko Tanaka (born January 27, 1951) is a Japanese businessman and the founder and CEO of Kura Sushi, a renowned sushi chain. He was born in Soja, Okayama Prefecture, and graduated from Momoyama Gakuin University. After working at Tamanoi Su, he opened a sushi restaurant in Sakai City. In 1990, he established Kura Sushi and later founded Kura Corporation. He is known for innovative developments in sushi serving technology. His wife, Setsuko Tanaka, holds a director position at Kura Sushi, and their son, Shin Tanaka, is a vice president at the company.
