Kyōsuke Tsunematsu (1910-2001) was a Japanese writer and scriptwriter, born in Chiba Prefecture. A graduate of Waseda University's English department in 1936, he was involved in the literary magazine 'Ningen' during his university years. After World War II, he served on the editorial board of the 'Bungakusha' magazine. He was the original author and sole writer for all episodes of the NHK puppet show 'Chirorin Mura to Kurumi no Ki' (1956-1964) and its sequel on Fuji TV in 1966. He was also known for writing personal novels.
