Wnisa, born Halima Kadim on February 2, 1901, in Akrema, Algeria, was a prominent Algerian singer specializing in the Chaoui style within Amazigh music. She gained fame as the first Kabyle woman to perform on Algerian radio in 1924 and co-founded the second Kabyle-language radio station in 1936. Notable for her song 'A bu trabeq - Rebbi irad - nekwni n'sewweq,' Wnisa played a key role in popularizing Kabyle music. She passed away in 1952 at the age of 51, leaving a lasting legacy in Algerian cultural history.
