Lina Spies (born March 6, 1939) is an Afrikaans writer, poet, and translator. She won the Eugène Marais Prize and the Ingrid Jonker Prize in 1972 for her publication, 'Digby Vergenoeg'. Additionally, she translated Anne Frank's diary, known as 'Die Agterhuis', into Afrikaans, which earned her the Nedbank Academy Prize for Translated Work. She spent most of her career teaching Afrikaans and Dutch literature.
