Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos, born on January 25, 1957, in Génova, Quindío, Colombia, is a Colombian rapist and serial killer of children. In 1999, he confessed to the rape, torture, and murder of 147 young boys. Based on maps he drew in prison indicating the locations of bodies, there may be over 300 victims. He has been labeled by local media as 'the world's worst serial killer' due to his numerous victims. Garavito is also known by the nicknames La Bestia ('The Beast') and Tribilín (Spanish for the Disney character Goofy).
