Magnús Bjarnfreðsson (February 9, 1934 – August 30, 2012) was one of the first television news reporters in Iceland. He contributed to the establishment of the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service TV in 1966 and worked there as a news and program producer for many years. Born in a family of 21 siblings, he had a varied career, including journalism and public relations, and he served as a town councilor in Kópavogur.
