Malcolm P. Poindexter Jr. was an American journalist, known for his work in newspaper, radio, and television over a career that lasted more than 50 years. He was a prominent reporter for KYW-TV in Philadelphia from 1967 until his retirement in 2001. His contributions to journalism were recognized with three Emmy Awards. In addition to his television work, Poindexter wrote for several publications, including the Philadelphia Tribune and Jet magazine, and was an early member of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists.
