Manole Aldescu was a Romanian cross-country skier born on February 18, 1929, in Talea. He represented Dinamo Brașov and won eleven national titles throughout his career. Aldescu competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, finishing 10th in the relay with his teammates Moise Crăciun, Dumitru Frățilă, and Constantin Enache. He also participated in the 1954 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. After retiring as an athlete, he transitioned to a coaching career.
