Marcel Štefančič is a Slovenian film critic, television host, and publicist, born on May 25, 1960 in Brežice. He graduated in philosophy in 1985 and obtained his master's degree in 1988 from the University of Ljubljana. From 1998 to 2022, he hosted the show Studio City on RTV Slovenia and regularly contributes to the weekly Mladina. He has authored over 100 books and is known for his leftist views, having signed a petition against censorship and political pressure on journalists in Slovenia. His late wife was Zdenka Jagarinec.
