Marcel Joseph Vandenbussche was a Belgian politician, born on January 28, 1911, in Klerken, where he later passed away on August 15, 2006. He was a member of the Christian Democratic and Flemish party (CVP) and served as the mayor of Klerken from 1947 to 1976. Vandenbussche also held positions as a provincial councilor in West Flanders from 1946 to 1958 and as a provincial senator from 1960 to 1968, succeeding Georges Feryn. Apart from his political career, he was an agricultural worker.
