Born in Trokieniki, he studied at Vilnius University and the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts. His career included teaching art and mathematics, serving in the Polish army during WWII, and creating a significant body of work under duress in concentration camps. After the war, he moved to Italy and then to England, where he contributed to art education and held numerous exhibitions across Europe before his passing in London.
