Mario Arnello Romo, born on December 25, 1925, is a prominent Chilean lawyer, scholar, poet, and politician. He is notable for being one of the founders of the right-wing National Party in Chile in 1966. Arnello played significant roles during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship from 1973 to 1990, serving as the director of DIBAM from 1986 to 1990 and holding positions as a special ambassador at the United Nations from 1974 to 1978 and the Organization of American States from 1974 to 1976.
