Martin Klimpfinger is an Austrian pathologist and university professor born on December 20, 1955, in Klagenfurt. He served as the head of the Pathological-Bacteriological Institute at the Social Medical Center South – Klinik Favoriten from 1997 to 2020. This institution was previously known as Kaiser Franz Josef Hospital, affiliated with the Medical University of Vienna. Additionally, he was the president of the Austrian Society of Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology from 2015 to 2016, and served as past president from 2017 to 2018. Since 2019, he has been a board member responsible for public relations.
