Mary C. Harper was an American educator and politician born on May 13, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from Spalding University, she also pursued graduate studies at DePaul University and the University of Louisville. Harper taught in Bullitt County and served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007. She was first elected in 2002, defeating incumbent Larry Belcher, but lost to him in the 2006 election. Harper passed away on May 9, 2012, at Jewish Hospital South in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
