Masaoki Hoshino is a Japanese pastor and agricultural worker born on June 22, 1944, in Osaka. He grew up in Chigasaki, Kanagawa. He graduated from a rural missionary school and became an ordained pastor in 1973, serving at Hakurogata Church in Akita Prefecture. Hoshino has been involved in pioneering evangelism and farmers' movements, spending three and a half years as a missionary in Canada. Upon returning, he managed a small school farm in Tokyo while pastoring at Mitaka Church before becoming the pastor of Matsuzaki Church in Izu in 1999.
