Masaoki Ōki (June 20, 1924 - June 10, 1983) was a Japanese music critic known for his contributions to music journalism. He was born in Tokyo or Chiba and graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1947. Ōki made his debut in music criticism in 1951 with a review of violinist Yehudi Menuhin. He served as a music critic for "Music Arts," "Tokyo Shimbun," and "Mainichi Shimbun," and provided commentary for radio and television music programs. He was a professor at Atomi University and the father of fellow music critic Masaaki Ōki.
