Masatomi Ikeda was a Japanese martial arts instructor born on April 8, 1940, in Tokyo. He held a 7th dan Aikikai ranking in Aikido, as well as 5th dan in Sumo and 4th dan in Judo. A student of Hiroshi Tada, Ikeda taught Aikido across Switzerland, Italy, and other European countries from 1977 to 2002. His students included several notable practitioners, such as Michele Quaranta and Francesco Marrella, among many others.
