Mehmet Erenler was a Turkish bağlama artist born in Ayaş, Ankara. He self-taught himself the bağlama at the age of eight and began performing on stage at thirteen. He participated in the 'Yurttan Sesler' program at the invitation of Muzaffer Sarısözen. In the early 1960s, he honed his skills playing in various nightclubs and began working at Ankara Radio after passing TRT's exam in 1966. Later, he served as a faculty member at the Istanbul State Conservatory and worked as a bağlama artist and choir conductor at Istanbul Radio from the 1980s, participating in numerous concerts and seminars.
