Michael Young (born January 2, 1961) is a former American basketball player and current coach. He began his professional career in 1984 after being drafted by the Boston Celtics. Standing 6 feet 7 inches tall, Young played for several teams including the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers, as well as teams in Spain and Italy. He retired from playing in 1996 after a successful career in basketball.
