Karl Michael Akiu, born on February 12, 1962, is a former American football wide receiver who played two seasons in the NFL with the Houston Oilers. Drafted in the seventh round of the 1985 NFL Draft, he previously attended Washington State University before transferring to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Akiu hails from Kailua, Hawaii, where he attended Kalaheo High School. He also had stints with the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills during his football career.
