Mikhail Awwad (1912 - 1996) was an Iraqi historian, writer, and researcher, known as 'the younger Khaldi'. He was born in Mosul where he received his initial education and later continued his studies in Baghdad, graduating from the Primary Teachers' Institute in 1943. He worked as a teacher and held administrative positions in the Ministry of Education until his retirement. He was the younger brother of Korkis Awwad.
