Mohammad Azharuddin, born on February 8, 1963, in Hyderabad, India, is a former Indian cricketer and current politician serving as a member of the Lok Sabha from the Moradabad constituency. He played in four Cricket World Cups (1987, 1992, 1996, 1999) and was the captain of the Indian cricket team. Azharuddin was known for his role as a batsman, participating in 47 Test matches and 174 One Day Internationals during the 1990s. In September 2019, he was elected as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
