Monica Mary Gould is a former Australian politician who served as a Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Council from September 1993 to November 2006, representing Doutta Galla Province. Born in Melbourne, she was involved with the Manufacturing Grocers Association trade union and later became its General Vice-President. She held various political roles, including Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Minister for Industrial Relations, and the first woman President of the Legislative Council. In 2018, she was honored in the Victorian Honour Roll of Women for her contributions to encouraging women in the Labor Party.
