Motofumi Higashisono (1911-2007) was a Japanese noble and bureaucrat in the Imperial Household. He was the 14th head of the Higashisono family and served as chief chamberlain. Born in Sendai, he excelled in equestrian sports. After graduating from Hokkaido Imperial University in 1934, he held various positions, including officer in the Imperial Army and serving the Imperial Family. Following WWII, he continued to be influential in the Imperial Household until his death due to pneumonia in 2007.
