Moturi Satyanarayana was an influential Indian independence activist, closely associated with Mohandas Gandhi until 1947. He served as a member of the Constituent Assembly of India, where he contributed to drafting the Indian Constitution. A nominated member of the Rajya Sabha until 1966, he played a significant role in making Hindi an official language in the Constitution while respecting other major Indian languages. In his later years, he focused on promoting Hindi, particularly in South India.
