Muhammad Abdul Aziz Khan was a prominent Bangladeshi botanist and university teacher, born on February 1, 1931, in Ramnagar, Pabna District, British India. He earned a Master of Science in Botany from the University of Dhaka in 1951, joining the faculty the same year. He pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 1965. Khan held various academic positions, eventually becoming a professor and the head of the Botany Institute at the University of Chittagong, where he established a botanical garden. He published over 75 research articles and authored four textbooks.
