Munis Dündar is a professor of medical genetics and head of the Department of Medical Genetics at Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey. He identified four genetic syndromes in medical literature, including 'Dündar syndrome' and 'acr-pectoral syndrome of Dündar.' He is the president of the European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) and the chief editor of The EuroBiotech Journal. He became a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2021.
