Mustafa Akşin was a Turkish diplomat born in 1931 in Ankara. He graduated from Robert College and the Faculty of Law at Ankara University. He began his diplomatic career in 1955 and held various positions, including serving as Turkey's ambassador to Kenya, Syria, and Yugoslavia. From 1988 to 1993, he was Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He also served as Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1983 to 1986. He passed away on September 30, 2020, in Istanbul.
