Narendra Kumar Prasadrao Salve (1921-2012) was a prominent Indian politician associated with the Indian National Congress. He served as a parliamentarian and held the position of Union minister. Additionally, he was known for his role as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1982 to 1985, where he played a significant part in hosting the Cricket World Cup in 1987 outside of England. Salve was also an advocate for the creation of a separate state of Vidarbha. A cricket tournament was named after him by the BCCI in 1998.
