Nana Kwame Ampadu (31 March 1945 – 28 September 2021) was a renowned Ghanaian musician and composer, celebrated for his significant contributions to highlife music. He composed over 800 songs and was the lead singer and chief songwriter for the African Brothers Band, which he founded. Known as Adwomtofo Nyinaa hempɔn, he is recognized as a pioneer of highlife music and is celebrated as one of the most illustrious Ghanaian musicians of the 20th century.
