Nazmiye Demirel was the 9th First Lady of Turkey, born on 3 January 1927 in Isparta. She married Süleyman Demirel, the 9th President of Turkey, on 12 March 1948 and became First Lady in 1993. Throughout her life, she faced many challenges, including a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease in 2005. Her tenure as First Lady was marked by her supportive role during her husband's presidency until her passing on 27 May 2013 in Ankara.
