Necmi Onur was a Turkish journalist and writer born in Harput’s Alışam village. He completed his high school education at Haydarpaşa Lisesi in Istanbul and briefly attended Istanbul University Faculty of Law. He began his journalism career at Hürsöz newspaper and worked for various other newspapers, gaining recognition through his interviews and stories. Onur passed away in Istanbul in 1992.
