Néstor Gaudencio Castagno Bernhardt was an Argentine teleseries author and actor who settled in Chile. Born on April 6, 1940, in Rafaela, Argentina, he moved to Chile in 1962 where he became active in television. He wrote several successful telenovelas, including 'La Torre 10', 'Ámame', and 'Rojo y Miel'. His last work, 'Brujas', was co-created with his daughter Daniella Castagno. He passed away on March 19, 2005, in Santiago, Chile, after a battle with lung cancer, which had been diagnosed five months prior.
