Niels Christian Eigtved, born on March 17, 1936, in Frederiksberg, is a retired Danish officer, castle administrator, and chamberlain. He served in various military capacities, including the Royal Life Guards and as Colonel of Prince's Life Regiment. Eigtved was also responsible for the management of Fredensborg Palace from 1996 until his retirement in 2006. His military education included attending Frederiksberg Gymnasium and completing officer training at Hærens Officersskole, followed by a general staff course at Forsvarsakademiet.
