Hüseyin Nihal Atsız (January 12, 1905 - December 11, 1975) was a Turkish writer and theorist known for his comprehensive Turkish nationalism with a Turanian perspective. He authored over thirty books and numerous articles. Atsız was a staunch opponent of the İsmet İnönü government and criticized it for collaborating with communists in the Soviet Union. He was accused of sympathizing with the Nazi government and allegedly plotting to overthrow the Turkish regime.
