Nirbhay Singh Sisodiya was an Indian soldier of the Kumaon Regiment's 15th Battalion. Born on May 1, 1958, he displayed extraordinary valor during Operation Blue Star on June 6, 1984, where he provided cover fire for his commanding officer against armed insurgents. Despite being wounded, he continued to fight bravely until he ultimately lost his life in combat. In recognition of his courage, he was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peacetime military honor, on January 26, 1985.
