She is the president of Continental Engineering Corporation and previously served as the chairman of the board for the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation, which constructed the high-speed railway system connecting Taipei and Kaohsiung. A supporter of the Democratic Progressive Party, Ing has also acted as an advisor to former President Chen Shui-bian, marking her significant influence in both the construction industry and Taiwanese politics.
