Novella Hanson is an Estonian pop singer and music educator, born on March 16, 1953, in Tõrva, Estonia. She grew up in Tõrva and graduated from Tartu 2nd Secondary School in 1971, later studying English philology at Tartu University for a few years. Novella has performed in the bands Fix and Laine and has played as a pianist with guitarist Mart Soo. Currently, she works as a singing instructor at Tõrva Music School.
