Octavian Bellu, born on February 17, 1951, is the head of the Romanian national women's artistic gymnastics team. A successful coach, he led the team to five world and two Olympic titles, coaching numerous individual gold medalists. His tenure saw Romania become a dominant force in women's gymnastics, securing a total of 82 world and Olympic medals. Recognized as the world's most successful coach in 2007, Bellu has made significant contributions to the sport and was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2009.
