Ole Stig Andersen, born May 8, 1940, in Copenhagen, is a former chief of the Police Intelligence Service (PET) and director of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget). After earning his law degree in 1965, he worked at the Ministry of Justice before becoming the head of PET from 1975 to 1984. He was later the Secretary General of the Bar Association until 1995 when he became the director of Folketinget, a role he held until 2000. Post-retirement, he has engaged in public debate, including criticism of PET's expanded powers.
