Rahkonen wrote stories for reading magazines under various pseudonyms, including Ossi Haimi and Risto Osvala. His notable works include novels, radio sketches, and plays. He served as a teacher for several years, contributing significantly to education in Finland. In 1990, he and his spouse Anni received a cultural award from the municipality of Liminka for their contributions.
