Parviz Davoodi was an Iranian politician and economist born on February 5, 1952, in Tehran. He served as the Third Vice President of Iran from 2005 to 2009 and was the head of the Center for Strategic Research during the tenth administration. He was also a faculty member and professor at Shahid Beheshti University and held a Ph.D. in economics from Iowa State University. Additionally, he was a member of the Expediency Discernment Council.
