Paul Lennart James Simonsson, born on 16 February 1967, is a former New Zealand rugby union and rugby league player. As a wing, he played for Waikato and Wellington, representing the All Blacks during their 1987 tour to Japan where he scored seven tries in two matches. He switched to rugby league in 1990, playing for North Sydney Bears before injuries ended his career. Returning to rugby union, he played for New South Wales and the Australian Sevens team but was again curtailed by injury. He later became a police detective and tax investigator.
