Pedro Corostola Picabea (June 2, 1933 - March 13, 2020) was a Spanish cellist born in Ereñotia, Gipuzkoa. He studied cello under Elias Arizkun and oboe under Antonio Cortes at the San Sebastián Music Conservatory. He furthered his studies in Paris, winning 1st Prize at the Gaspar Cassadó competition in 1958. From 1960 to 1965, he served as principal cellist of the Portuguese National Symphony Orchestra, later becoming a professor at his alma mater and at the Madrid Conservatory.
