Pere Casacuberta Camps is a Catalan athlete born on April 12, 1965, in Vic, Osona, specializing in cross country and long-distance running. He began athletics at the age of nine with Club Atlètic Vic, where he developed his entire career. In 1983, he became the national junior cross champion, winning the titles in Catalonia, Spain, and at the World Junior Cross Country event the next year. He was the last European to win this international competition at the age of 18. An industrial accident later hindered his elite running career, but he continued to compete in popular races.
